“Transient” is a project dealing with the death of nature, while conveying the feeling of time stopping and the halting of life processes via freezing.

Death, to me, is more than a spiritual or physical passage; it is an invisible passage. I use ice since I perceive freeze as a parable for death. A visual imagery for the state of lifelessness.
I chose the process of freezing elements not only to produce the feeling of death, but also to create a coffin from ice to the various natural elements, that are symbolizing life, or something that used to be alive.

This project is predicated on the idea that all life in transient; that all life is viable. The project is a series of images created to give a visual response to this moment of expiration, of death.

My interest in, and my curiosity about death is grounded in the uncertainty of what happens in the after-life: Does life end with death? Is there life after death? These are the fundamental questions that led me to explore this concept.
